Health Services
Welcome to the Health Services department at Prep Charter High School!
The Prep Charter School Community values not only the education of our students, but also their physical and mental well-being. Our mission is to ensure a comprehensive program of services ranging from preventative care through health education and the promotion of a healthy environment. As more and more children are coming to school with medical conditions and emotional challenges, the health room at Prep is available to provide an individualized plan of care for each student. The health room is accessible from 7:45AM-3:00PM Monday-Friday during the school year.
Please take a few minutes to review some pertinent information:
- Each student should provide the nurse with an Emergency Contact Form. ( It is required that parents keep us informed about changes in their child’s health in order for us to provide appropriate care)
- Students are not permitted to carry medication with them unless authorized in writing by the student’s health care provider (with the exception of inhalers & epi-pens).
- In accordance with state law, students are required to have certain immunizations before enrolling and attending school. Please review the requirement forms from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
- Please advise your child that he/she cannot personally call home if they feel ill, but must go to the nurse’s office. Upon assessment, the nurse will determine if authorized sick leave is appropriate.
I am looking forward to providing excellent care for your student to ensure a healthy and successful school year. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Health Office at 215-334-6144 X13 or send an email to [email protected]
